DataBank was founded in 2002 by a group of Australian entrepreneurs with a deep understanding and experience in the data protection industry.
Today, with over 30 employees, DataBank services over 1,000 companies throughout Israel managing over 750,000 backup media items and offering a wide array of cloud and data protection solutions.
DataBanks’ esteemed client base includes market leaders in all sectors (multinationals, high tech, major banks, government organizations, insurance companies, and legal and accounting firms).
DataBank operates out of two purpose built, state of the art media facilities.
PETACH TIKVA FACILITY
The Petach Tikva media vault (10 km from Tel Aviv) is located three floors underground and is equipped with a robust and high level security system, CCTV, gas fire suppression systems and environmental controls.
The Data Center is located inside the Petach Tikva facility. In addition to the high level security, the Data Center provides a serious option for the hosting of sensitive data.
NETANYA FACILITY
The Netanya facility (30 km from Tel Aviv) was built to facilitate the growth of DataBank and the need for customers that require their data to be stored at least 25km away from Tel Aviv. The facility is located two floors underground and is equipped with a robust and high level security system, CCTV, gas fire suppression systems and environmental controls.
ACCREDITATIONS
As a company, DataBank adheres to the highest of international standards for quality and security for all our services. Our accreditations are renewed on an annual basis following a serious external audit of our security, processes and controls.
Oded Shahar
CEO
Oded joined DataBank as CEO in 2015 to lead the company forward. Oded brought to DataBank an extensive background in IT professional services from his former position as VP Infrastructure and Integration at One1. Oded is passionate in providing the DataBank clients with exceptional service and unique solutions.
Efi Yaakov
CTO
Efi has a highly accomplished career in designing and implementing IT infrastructure solutions. Efi is responsible for managing the IT team, the internal DataBank infrastructure and creating client driven business continuity solutions that are hosted within the DataBank Data Center.
Jeremy Rand
COO
Jeremy is primarily responsible for the smooth operations of the DataBank service. With a huge logistics operation of servicing over 1,200 offices on a weekly basis, Jeremy along with his support team of Vault Librarians and DataBank Drivers provide a streamlined professional service. Jeremy has years of experience in the logistics industry previously being employed by UPS logistics.
